There are not enough positive things to say about our experience in Bali. Michael needed a vacation as he is putting in a lot of hours at work. I wanted to do some more traveling. And the boys, well they were just along for the ride. We had a villa on the ocean complete with a private plunge pool and babysitting services so that Michael and I could enjoy some time to go out in the evenings. There was a Kid's Club that was near the beach so when the kids weren't with us on the beach they could go to the Club and play under the watchful eyes of the babysitters.
We enjoyed relaxing breakfasts in the comfort of our own villa each morning. Trips to downtown Bali to buy souvenirs and tribal masks were a lot of fun too. On our way into Bali we would see many scooters on the road carrying entire families! They would have babies strapped on to scooters driving down the road with all of the cars.
We also visited a temple where there were many monkeys to feed. After we fed them we were posing for a picture overlooking the ocean and one of them snatched Michael's glasses off of his face. Needless to say we did not recover the glasses in very good condition. Michael now has two new pairs of glasses to replace his that he mended with a needle and thread!
Hopefully before we leave Singapore we will visit Bali again!
