December was filled with lots of fun activities for Caden and Beckett. We had a lot of fun making a gingerbread house, visiting Santa, decorating the house, baking cookies, attending parties, church activities and donating to some new charities. The boys loved having an advent calendar to open a door each day to count down the days until Christmas. Inside each of the doors was a piece of chocolate...even I would love that! It was a very thoughtful gift for my birthday from Michael's parents that we will use year after year.
We slept under the Christmas tree, as was one of my family's traditions, the night before Christmas. Caden, Elli and I were the only ones that made it the entire night. Michael and Beckett abandoned the project for the comforts of their beds. We spent Christmas in New Zealand this year with my family so we celebrated our own Christmas a little early before our trip on the 22nd. This has been an incredible year for us and we are so thankful for all of the many blessings in our lives and for the gift of Jesus. Merry Christmas from our house to yours!
