Caden is "In the News"

Caden is in Kindergarten this year and his teacher, Mr Hinton, asks the kids to put together presentations called "In the News". Each child presents a topic of which they have learned something and can teach the other children about or share something special that they have recently done.

Caden and I talked about a lot of different topics for his first presentation. He decided to share his movie experience this summer when Grandma Dianne and Grandpa Gary took he and Beckett to see Cars 2. Grandma Sandy and Grandpa Jim sent the boys each a token of the movie which was a new car to entertain themselves with on the return trip to Singapore. I found these cookie cutters at Williams Sonoma that I couldn't say no to of the Cars 2 characters. We have used these many times experimenting with different flavors of dough and different decorations. Caden put together a power point presentation (guess I should say mom really did this) to share with his class of all 3 of these things and then brought each child a cookie to sample!

His second "In the News" is this coming Friday. Michael and Caden have constructed a Star Wars Clone Wars Transporter! They had a great afternoon of it and now we just have to put the finishing touches on with some paint and final draft of the presentation (of course it will be power point again...Michael's expertise) for Friday. Caden has a school concert and then will follow it up with the presentation. I will take this massive ship with me to school on Friday...yippee!
