My baby turns 4!

Where does the time go? We moved to Singapore when Beckett was just 9 months. Aunt Racheal visited for his 1st birthday party and we have kept the tradition of having his party at home. This year was no different, but it was the first ever party where Beckett got to choose which friends he wanted to invite. I limited it to the number of friends per years of age...so that meant 4 friends, plus neighbors (Pepjin adn Quentin) and Caden:)

His birthday fell on a public holiday, Deepavali, so Beckett did not have school and we celebrated with Reese's peanut butter and banana Ebelskivers for breakfast, some gifts and a swimming playdate in the afternoon. I took a checkerboard cake to his school earlier that week so that he could celebrate with his N2 classmates at Odyssey Global Preschool. All of the kids got to choose a glow bracelet and enjoy their piece of cake. I made a swiss meringue buttercream for the first time...it was AMAZING! I will definitely make this frosting recipe again. He wanted to have a Ben Ten themed party, so I had ordered most of the supplies from the US. Michael was Ben and navigated the children through the various games and activities of the afternoon. He was the perfect person to recruit for such a job as he really is a giant child himself! :)
