Michael and I both decided that this move was the most difficult. It required so much planning...meticulously measuring the space of the new house and existing furniture so that we could decide what we could bring and what we should store in Atlanta. When the movers arrived we had been in Singapore for 3 weeks and had become quite fond of our rented furniture as we did not have to worry about it. We were quickly learning from the locals that dehumidifiers were a way of life to preserve your clothing, shoes, handbags, furniture...EVERYTHING. In a country where the humidity doesn't drop much below 80% this was going to be a challenge. When the movers arrived with our items they said, 'do you think all of these things are going to fit into your house?' It was a legitimate concern as most people move with a 40 foot container and we had a 40, a 20 and air freight!
Caden strikes a pose.
