The holidays...

were very busy this year! Caden had more activities at school to attend, I hosted my first cookie exchange party and the month was filled with lots of parties and getting ready for our trip to Margaret River, Australia.

The day after we had Thanksgiving dinner and ran the turkey trot we put up 2 trees. I told Caden and Beckett they could have a small tree to decorate upstairs on in the family room. It was a collage of ornaments that we have collected from our travels and that the boys have made in school. I even let them put on colored lights! That brought back a lot of memories from childhood. My mother even let Racheal and I spray paint a tree white one year...I love my boys, but I don't think they could talk me into that. I hope that white tree was at least in fashion when we did that!

Caden got to announce a song at his school Christmas concert this year. He made me proud as he was very composed speaking into the microphone in front of a large crowd of parents. I would have been nervous, but he was a pro!

I really enjoyed all of the prep work and planning my cookie exchange party. This was my first ever (hosting or attending) and I had picked up a kit with invitations this past year in the US so this was the year! I kept it small but I think everyone had a good time with the games and champagne. Hopefully I can do it again next Christmas.
