Merry Christmas...from Singapore to Margaret River....
We celebrated Christmas before leaving for Australia this year. I used my lovely new Old St Nick plates that were a gift from my mother-in-law and we all enjoyed hot chocolate in the mugs. One of the games that we were supposed to play at the cookie exchange party was 'Pin the nose on the Reindeer'. No one was up for it at the party, but the boys loved playing! They helped me make a reindeer poster as I could not find one that I liked in Singapore...go figure. It forced me to finally purchase a glue gun...don't know why I've been putting that off for so long. I love my glue gun!!!
The boys loved their Christmas stockings that Grandma Sandy spent hours (or should I say months) working on. They are lovely and they will be cherished always! The real highlight was the gifts (of course) from the boys' perspective. Lots of Star Wars this year...we even had Star Wars pancakes and plates!
Christmas is a lovely holiday filled with joy. When we got to Margaret River, Santa surprised the kids with some more things and we celebrated Baby Jesus's birthday. I couldn't find a nice cake for some reason this year, so we settled on lots of different desserts and sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus not once, but twice...once in English and once in Mandarin. This is what the holiday is all about. We have been very blessed in 2011. Merry Christmas!
