Thought I would post some pictures of some of my recent cookie and cake projects. A few weeks before Valentine's Day, my friend, Katja, was over with her kids to decorate cookies and she encouraged me (as many have done over the years) to start a small baking business so I have decided to give it a try. Thank you Katja for your encouraging words and enthusiasm! As it was Caden's 6th birthday I felt like I lived in the kitchen for the duration of this last week. I managed to make Caden a 3D R2D2 cake for his party on Saturday. It was definitely a challenge but it was fun and completely worth it as he was so delighted and proud of his cake! I guess all of my experimenting, classes, obsession with the Food Network and cooking magazines may be paying off.
