Happy Birthday to Caden!!!

Caden got to celebrate his birthday many times!  I think each of our kids has at least 3 birthdays surrounding the actual birthday!  I'm a sucker for a reason to celebrate them...they are so fabulous!  Caden's best friend, Max, came over for a sleepover for part 1.  They all slept in sleeping bags on the floor in Caden's room and played StarWars, Basketball, Legos and of course video games!

This year Caden chose a basketball-themed birthday party.  Michael has taken the boys to participate in a basketball program called Fastbreak this year.  We also bought them a basketball hoop which they LOVE playing.  Caden has really taken an interest in a lot of sports:  basketball, baseball, tennis, swimming and soccer.  I wonder which ones he will choose to focus on.

Michael grilled hot dogs for the party...one of his all time favorite foods...old habits die hard!  Just look at that smile.

I made his cake again...it was a delicious bittersweet chocolate chip cake with milk chocolate icing and fondant details.  The cake was a hit with everyone!

Thank you to all of Caden's friends who attended the party and grandparents that sent gifts!  He loved them!  Beckett too:)

I volunteered in Caden's 1st grade class on February 27th (his actual birthday), then took him to lunch at Subway (only place in school other than cafeteria and pizza place to eat) and brought in Avenger cupcakes for him to celebrate with his classmates.  He felt very honored as he got to choose some friends to be in the photo with, wear the birthday crown ALL day and pass out the cupcakes.  I will take him out to lunch for our annual mother son date to talk about his goals for his 7th year!  He has mentioned that he wants to play more tennis!  Am I creating a monster??!!  :)
